THE FIRST SERIES
The Forsyte Saga is an immense drama of sex, power, and money. It chronicles the lives of three generations of a powerful Victorian family. the legacy begins with Soames Forsyte, a rich and successful partner in the family law firm and a staunch upholder of the old moral code. But his fiery, tormented relationship with his beautiful wife Irene upsets his complacency and as Irene embarks on a passionate affair, the Forsyte family is cruelly ripped apart in a bitter feud.
THE SECOND SERIES
Years on Soames and Irene's divorce has become an unspoken family secret, having remarried Soames has a wilful daughter Fleur and Irene's son Jon is a budding artist. With no knowledge of the feud that has split the Forsyte family for decades, Fleur and Jon embark on secret affair. The young Fleur is determined that nothing will stand in the way for her love for Jon. But the acrimony between Soames and Irene has not faded with the years, and it is not long before the shadow of the past falls darkly upon the present, with tragic consequences. |
